Economic Policies

Economic Policies are weekly Alliance-wide decisions that determine how an Alliance distributes its Alliance Gold Coffer funds into Weekly Buffs. Each policy reflects a strategic focus for the week and is selected through the Township Voting system.

Overview

  • Each Alliance may vote for one Economic Policy per week.
  • The chosen policy determines which Weekly Buff receives the largest share of the Gold Coffer.
  • The policy remains active until the next Weekly Reset.
  • Policies are decided by majority vote—or overridden by the Alliance Governor if Executive Authority is used.

Policy Ratios

The Gold Coffer’s balance is divided across the three Weekly Buffs according to the chosen policy. Each week, the distribution follows the current **40% / 30% / 30%** structure.

Policy Crafting Area Buff Merchant Stock Bonus Dungeon Buff Priority Buff Focus
Crafter’s Policy 40% 30% 30% Crafting & Production
Merchant Policy 30% 40% 30% Trade & Economy
Hunter’s Policy 30% 30% 40% Exploration & PvE
  • The **priority buff** (the one receiving 40%) grows twice as fast as the other two buffs.
  • This ratio ensures all buffs improve each week, but one always takes the lead.

How Policies Are Chosen

Economic Policies are decided through the weekly Township Voting process:

  1. Citizens cast votes between Monday and Saturday.
  2. Governors receive the same options, with an additional ability to either:
  * Follow the citizen vote, or
  * Override it using Executive Authority.
  1. Final results are tallied during the Weekly Reset.

If no majority is achieved, the Alliance retains its previous week’s policy.

Policy Effects

Each Economic Policy aligns with specific gameplay bonuses and goals:

Crafter’s Policy

Focuses on crafting, production, and trade skill progression.

  • + Crafting Zone skill gain rate increases significantly.
  • + Slight bonus to vendor stock and dungeon buffs.
  • Ideal for alliances investing in economic and resource infrastructure.

Merchant Policy

Emphasizes trade, NPC economy, and material flow.

  • + Vendor stock refreshes faster, with expanded inventory.
  • + Moderate crafting zone and dungeon improvements.
  • Best for Alliances that thrive on merchant trade and player markets.

Hunter’s Policy

Centers on exploration, combat, and PvE activity.

  • + Dungeon buffs for Gold, Rare Loot, and XP drop rates.
  • + Minor boosts to crafting and merchant benefits.
  • Favored by PvE- and adventure-focused Alliances.

Strategy

  • Plan your weekly policy around your Alliance’s activity trend:
      • If crafting and production are active → choose Crafter’s Policy.
      • If trading and town activity dominate → choose Merchant Policy.
      • If dungeon farming is peaking → choose Hunter’s Policy.
  • Coordinate with Governors to ensure policy alignment with player goals.
  • Monitor your Alliance Gold Coffer levels mid-week to predict next week’s buff strength.

Developer Notes

  • Policy ratios (40/30/30) are subject to adjustment during Beta 2.
  • Future updates may include rotating “Seasonal Policies” with special effects.
  • Long-term plans include visual indicators for active Alliance Policies within the in-game menu.
