Weekly Reset

The Weekly Reset is the core timing system that drives Alliance updates, buff recalculations, elections, and game events across Project Ultima. It ensures all major Township and Alliance systems stay synchronized each week.

Overview

  • The Weekly Reset occurs every **Sunday at 12:00 AM UTC**.
  • All Alliance, Township, and Governor-related systems recalculate during this time.
  • Player actions, votes, and contributions made before the reset determine next week’s results.
  • Once complete, all values roll forward into the new week.

Systems Affected

The following systems are refreshed or recalculated each week during the Weekly Reset:

System Description Notes
Alliance Gold Coffer Gold coffers are recalculated, distributing buff strength based on total contributions. 10% of gold is automatically skimmed and transferred to the Silver Coffer.
Silver Coffer Updated with gold skimmed from the Gold Coffer. Funds Militia Games and temporary buffs. Balances reset or roll over depending on event participation.
Township Voting Votes are tallied and results applied to next week’s policies, contests, and tax levels. Governors may override results based on Executive Authority.
Weekly Dungeon Selection Dungeon assignments rotate. Each Alliance receives 3 new dungeons with unique buffs. No cross-alliance duplicates; dungeons won’t repeat for the same buff type consecutively.
Militia Games New event cycle begins using updated Silver Coffer funds. Temporary buffs from the prior week expire.
Governors Election phases, approval ratings, and terms update automatically. Emergency elections can trigger if approval remains below 20% for 2 consecutive weeks.

Reset Phases

Each Weekly Reset happens in a specific order to ensure proper data flow:

  1. Phase 1 – Coffer Balances: Gold Coffers are skimmed and Silver Coffers updated.
    1. Silver Coffer Skim (10%) occurs first: 10% of each Alliance’s Alliance Gold Coffer transfers to the Silver Coffer before weekly buff calculations.
  2. Phase 2 – Voting Results: Tax, Economic Policy, Contest, and Governor Approval votes are tallied.
  3. Phase 3 – Buff Calculation: Weekly Buffs are recalculated based on Gold Coffer totals and chosen policy ratios (40/30/30).
  4. Phase 4 – Dungeon Rotation: New dungeons are assigned for each Alliance’s buff cycle.
  5. Phase 5 – Militia Games Launch: New Militia Games begin, funded by the Silver Coffer.
  6. Phase 6 – Governor Review: Governor term data updates, including approval tracking and potential emergency election checks.


Voting Deadlines

  • All Township Voting closes **1 hour before reset** (Saturday 11:00 PM UTC).
  • Governors may cast their votes beginning Wednesday to allow citizens to vote first.
  • Late votes after cutoff are ignored until the next cycle.

Buff Timing

  • Weekly Buffs apply immediately after reset.
  • Temporary buffs from Militia Games start later in the week as events activate.
  • Buff strength varies weekly depending on Gold Coffer contribution and chosen Economic Policy.

Strategy Tips

  • Make your votes early, especially for policies and contests.
  • Governors can plan ahead knowing final tallies update during Phase 2.
  • Keep an eye on Alliance coffers mid-week—gold donations and vendor taxes influence your next cycle’s power.
  • Dungeon buffs will change weekly—adjust your farming routes accordingly.

Developer Notes

  • Weekly Reset timing may shift during maintenance or Beta testing.
  • Reset order is locked to prevent exploits or data conflicts.
  • Buffs and contest data are versioned for each reset, allowing leaderboard and audit tracking.
