Ability

Ability	Description
Aegis	When struck, the Vanguard has a chance to raise an Aegis that temporarily increases Armor. Trigger Chance: 5% + 1% per Talisman Level Armor Bonus: 15% + 1% per Talisman Level Duration: 8 seconds At Level 20, Aegis has a 25% chance to activate and grants 35% Armor for 8 seconds.

Buffs

Each buff gains +0.5% per level in addition to its base value. Totals shown are at Level 20.

Defense Legacy Gems

Defense Legacy Gems can be socketed into the Vanguard Talisman's two Legacy Gem sockets, which unlock at Level 2 and Level 12.

Legacy Gems level independently by gaining Experience (XP) and do not require Lore Stones to upgrade. Maximum Legacy Gem level is determined by gem quality:

• Cracked: Maximum Level 5
• Cloudy: Maximum Level 10
• Perfect: Maximum Level 15

Guardian's Aegis	Provides a chance when struck to temporarily increase the Armor of both the Vanguard and their pets.	Trigger Chance: 10% + 1% per Gem Level Armor Bonus: 10% to Player and Pets Duration: 15 seconds Trigger: Taking damage
Last Stand	Provides a chance when the Vanguard falls below 30% Hit Points to gain Armor and restore health. This effect is PvE only.	Trigger Chance: 20% + 1% per Gem Level Armor Bonus: 20% Healing: 20% Condition: Below 30% Hit Points PvE Only
