Silver Coffer

The Silver Coffer is the Alliance treasury dedicated to Militia Games and Temporary Buffs. It works alongside the Alliance Gold Coffer to provide short-term, event-driven bonuses that supplement the permanent Weekly Buffs.

Overview

  • Each Alliance has its own Silver Coffer, separate from the Gold Coffer.
  • The Silver Coffer fuels temporary buffs earned through Militia Games.
  • 10% of the Gold Coffer’s total gold is automatically transferred into the Silver Coffer at each Weekly Reset.
  • Silver Coffers can also receive direct contributions and contest rewards in future updates.

Relation to Gold Coffer

The Silver Coffer does **not** influence Weekly Buffs directly. Instead, it serves as a dynamic balancing system that ensures even low-income weeks provide gameplay opportunities.

Comparison Gold Coffer Silver Coffer
Primary Purpose Weekly Buffs Temporary Buffs (Militia Games)
Source Taxes, purchases, policies 10% Gold Coffer skim + contests
Duration of Effect Full week Temporary, event-based
Example Buffs Crafting Zone, Merchant Stock, Dungeon Combat, Defense, Gathering, Town Bonuses

Militia Games

Militia Games are competitive Alliance events where players contribute to their faction’s progress to earn Temporary Buffs for all Alliance members.

  • Events may include crafting challenges, PvP skirmishes, dungeon clear objectives, or economic goals.
  • Winning Alliances receive Silver Coffer rewards that scale Temporary Buff strength.
  • Losing Alliances still retain base-level buffs from their skimmed funds.

Temporary Buffs

Temporary Buffs are short-term, stackable bonuses separate from Weekly Buffs. Examples include:

  • +5% Combat Damage for 24 hours
  • +10% Resource Drop Rate for 12 hours
  • +15% Crafting Success for 6 hours
  • +25% Town Guard Damage for 3 hours

All Temporary Buffs expire automatically after their duration ends and are re-balanced weekly.

Weekly Flow

  1. The Weekly Reset skims **10%** of each Alliance’s Gold Coffer and deposits it into the Silver Coffer.
  2. Militia Games begin for the new week, drawing from the Silver Coffer balance for rewards.
  3. Temporary Buffs activate dynamically as milestones are achieved.
  4. Buffs expire or reset at the next Weekly Reset.

Buff Balancing

The Militia Game buffs are designed to complement, not replace, the Gold Coffer buffs.

  • Silver Coffer buffs = short bursts of power.
  • Gold Coffer buffs = stable weekly baseline.
  • Combined, they create a cycle of fluctuating strength week to week.

Example Interaction

  • The Gold Coffer determines that the Crafter’s Policy is active → boosting crafting speed by 40%.
  • During the week, a Militia Game adds a Silver Coffer bonus of +10% temporary crafting success.
  • The two buffs stack for a total of +50% crafting power during the event.

Developer Notes

  • Silver Coffers create cyclical power balance between Alliances.
  • Amount skimmed (currently 10%) and reward multipliers may adjust in Beta 2.
  • Long-term, Silver Coffers may gain direct donation, contest, or PvP tax inputs.
