Slayer Gem System

The Slayer Gem System allows players to add slayer properties to weapons through a socketing mechanic. Unlike traditional slayer weapons, this system uses gems, and specialized tools to create temporary slayer weapons with limited charges.

Overview

  • Slayer Gems socket into player-crafted weapons using socketing tools
  • Each weapon can hold one slayer gem at a time
  • Gems have limited charges that deplete on successful slayer hits
  • When charges reach zero, the gem breaks and converts to Slayer Dust
  • Slayer Dust can be reforged into new gems using Reforging Tools
  • Super Slayer Gems (Legendary) Required a Greater Reforging Tool

Gem Rarities and Charges

Slayer Gems come in three rarity tiers, each with different charge ranges and slayer types:

Picture Rarity Charge Range Slayer Types Notes
Uncommon 25-50 Lesser Slayers Only Standard gem
Rare 50-150 Lesser Slayers Only Increased charges
Legendary 100-200 Super Slayers Only Super Slayers, Increased charges

Slayer Types

Lesser Slayers (Uncommon/Rare Gems)
  • All standard slayer types except super slayers
  • Examples: Dragon Slaying, Orc Slaying, Spider's Death, Daemon Dismissal, etc.
Super Slayers (Legendary Gems Only)
  • Arachnid Doom – All spiders and Terathans
  • Silver – All undead
  • Elemental Bane – All elementals
  • Exorcism – Demons and gargoyles
  • Reptilian Death – Dragons, drakes, lizardfolk, snakes, serpents, ophidians
  • Repond – All humanoid NPCs

Socketing Tools

Socketing tools drill a socket into player-crafted weapons, sacrificing 20% of the weapon's maximum durability. Weapons must match the tool's resource type.

Metal Socketing Tools

Used for metal weapons (swords, axes, maces, etc.). Resource type determines tool quality.

Rarity Resources Charges Notes
Uncommon Iron 2-4 Basic metal tool
Rare Dull Copper, Umbra Iron, Copper, Bronze, Gold 4-6 Mid-tier metals
Legendary Lunanite, Duranium, Veranium, Zentonium 5-8 High-tier metals

Wood Socketing Tools

Used for wooden weapons (bows, staves, etc.). Resource type determines tool quality.

Rarity Resources Charges Notes
Uncommon Regular Wood 2-4 Basic wood tool
Rare Dullwood, Umbrawood, Copperwood, Bronzewood, Goldenwood 4-6 Mid-tier woods
Legendary Lunawood, Durawood, Verawood, Zentowood 5-8 High-tier woods

Slayer Dust

When a slayer gem's charges are fully depleted, it automatically converts to Slayer Dust.

Lesser Slayer Dust--
Greater Slayer Dust-

Slayer Dust Properties
  • Retains the slayer type of the original gem
  • Stackable (stacks only with same slayer type)
  • Item ID: 0x0F8F
  • Hue: 2736 for super slayers, 2499 for lesser slayers
  • Used to reforge new gems via Reforging Tools
  • Can also drop as loot from monsters
Obtaining Slayer Dust
  • Automatic conversion when gem charges reach zero
  • Monster loot drops
  • Trading with other players

Slayer Dust Reforging Tools

Reforging tools convert Slayer Dust back into functional Slayer Gems. There are two tool types with different success rates and capabilities.

Picture Tool Type Rarity Charges Dust Required Success Rate Can Reforge Legendary (Super Slayer)?
Lesser Reforging Tool Rare 3-5 4 15% for Rare, 85% for Uncommon No
Greater Reforging Tool Legendary 6-9 4 45% for Rare, 55% for Uncommon Yes
Reforging Process
  1. Double-click the Reforging Tool
  2. Target Slayer Dust in your backpack
  3. Must have at least 4 dust of the same slayer type
  4. Tool consumes 4 dust and 1 charge per attempt
  5. Success creates a Reforged Gem with charges based on rarity:
    • Reforged Uncommon: 25-50 charges
    • Reforged Rare: 50-150 charges
    • Reforged Legendary: 100-200 charges (Greater Tool only)
Important Notes
  • Only Greater Reforging Tools can create Legendary (super slayer) gems
  • Lesser tools cannot reforge super slayer dust into gems
  • Tool is destroyed when charges reach zero

Socketing Process

Installing a Socket

  1. Double-click a Socketing Tool
  2. Target a player-crafted weapon in your backpack
  3. Requirements:
    • Weapon must be player-crafted
    • Weapon must match tool's resource type (metal/wood)
    • Weapon cannot already have a slayer property
    • Weapon cannot already be socketed
  4. Weapon's MaxHitPoints reduced by 20%
  5. Tool loses 1 charge
  6. Weapon displays "[Open Slayer Socket]"

Installing a Gem

  1. Double-click a Slayer Gem
  2. Target a socketed weapon
  3. Requirements:
    • Weapon must be in backpack
    • Weapon must be player-crafted
    • Weapon cannot have existing slayer
    • Weapon must be socketed
  4. Weapon Profile created with gem's charges
  5. Weapon gains gem's slayer property
  6. Gem is consumed

Combat Mechanics

Charge Consumption
  • Charges only deplete on successful slayer hits
  • Each qualifying hit consumes 1 charge
  • Misses do not consume charges
  • Non-qualifying targets do not consume charges
Slayer Damage Bonus
  • +100% damage vs. qualifying creatures (same as traditional slayers)
  • Stacks with other damage bonuses
Gem Breaking
  • When charges reach 0, gem automatically breaks
  • Slayer property removed from weapon
  • Slayer Dust (matching slayer type) added to owner's backpack
  • Message: "Your slayer gem shatters into dust!"
  • Weapon retains socket (can install new gem)

Obtaining Slayer Gems

Loot Drops
  • Found on mid to high-tier monsters
  • Rarity determined by monster difficulty
  • Super slayer gems (Legendary) are extremely rare
Reforging
  • Created from Slayer Dust using Reforging Tools
  • Allows recycling broken gems
  • Success rate varies by tool type

Notes

  • Socketing is permanent (socket remains even after gem breaks)
  • Only ONE gem can be installed at a time
  • Weapon must be player-crafted to be socketed
  • Pre-existing slayer weapons cannot be socketed
  • Gems cannot be removed, they must be used until they break
  • Adding a socket reduces its max durability by 20%.
